Responsibilities

  • Lead category management strategy and execution across assigned product categories
  • Develop and manage assortment, range, and space plans aligned with business objectives
  • Analyze category performance using sales, margin, inventory, and customer data
  • Identify growth opportunities and recommend pricing, promotion, and assortment actions
  • Collaborate with merchandising, demand planning, supply chain, and marketing teams
  • Drive category profitability, inventory turns, and customer satisfaction
  • Support planogram development and space optimization initiatives
  • Monitor category KPIs and provide actionable insights to stakeholders
  • Support new product introductions and product lifecycle management
  • Leverage analytics and tools to support data-driven category decisions
  • Support UAT, go-live, and stabilization of category management platforms
  • Act as a subject-matter expert for category management best practices
  • Drive continuous improvement in merchandising and category analytics

Requirements

  • Minimum 3+ years of experience in Category Management or Retail Merchandising
  • Strong understanding of retail category dynamics, consumer behavior, and buying patterns
  • Proven experience managing assortment, pricing, and category performance
  • Strong analytical and data interpretation skills
  • Experience working with cross-functional retail teams
  • Ability to present insights and recommendations to senior stakeholders
  • Experience working in Retail, FMCG, or Consumer Goods environments
  • Experience working in Agile or project-based delivery environments

Education Qualification

  • Minimum 3+ years of experience in Category Management or Retail Merchandising
  • Strong understanding of retail category dynamics, consumer behavior, and buying patterns
  • Proven experience managing assortment, pricing, and category performance
  • Strong analytical and data interpretation skills
  • Experience working with cross-functional retail teams
